Unless there is a court order clearly stating that your child is in your sole custody, both you and your ex-spouse have the right to have access to your child and any information pertaining to your child. We seek your understanding that the centre is not in a position to refuse either party's requests. For consistency, it is recommended that you and your ex-spouse provide and endorse a common set of written instructions to the centre regarding your preferred arrangements until a time when a court order can be obtained.How do I go about searching for a child care centre?

Child care centres are private business entities with their own administrative policies on enrolment matters. As such, we seek your understanding that the decision on children enrolment lies with the centre.
We encourage parents to download the LifeSG mobile app or search via the LifeSG website (effective 1 Apr 2024 onwards) to find a suitable child care centre for your child. Should there be no vacancies in your shortlisted preschool, we encourage you to expand your search options to consider other preschools with vacancies, such as by widening your distance range or those near your workplace or child’s caregivers’ home.

Is a child care centre allowed to close for additional days apart from the gazetted public holidays?
A child care centre is open throughout the year except on Sundays, gazetted public holidays and up to 6 days of annual closure. In addition, centres may observe half-days on the eves of 3 major festivals such as Christmas, New Year, Chinese New Year, Hari Raya Puasa or Deepavali. Child care centres are allowed to close for up to 6 days in a year, including 1 day for Teachers’ Day. The centres may decide to close for other reasons such as staff training, curriculum planning or cleaning. The centre is required to give parents at least 2 months’ written notice prior to the closure day. Notice of closure days should also be displayed on the notice board for parents’ information.As a centre user, why am I unable to see some of the modules in CMS?

Though it is possible for a HQ User to also be a Centre User, but there is generally not a need to assign a centre user role to the HQ User. This is because HQ Users can already view the information of all the centres tagged to HQ. In addition, a person can hold both HQ and centre user role, if the UEN of the centre user happens to be a different UEN from the HQ UEN.Can the user and administrator be the same person?
Although a user can hold both the Centre Admin and Centre User roles in CMS, it's important to note that there can be a maximum of only three active users with the Centre Admin role in CMS at any given time.Does the centre/HQ administrator need to carry out a monthly user access review i.e. System Access Review (SAR)?
Presently, CMS requires all centres to perform the System Access Review (SAR). It is a monthly review of all user’s account in CMS. All centres will need to submit the SAR monthly to ensure that only authorised users have access to CMS. If there is no verification submitted for 2 consecutive months, all the accounts under the centre/HQ/POP will be inactivated. This means that all the account holders will not be able to login to CMS
