How do I check my newborn's citizenship status?
A child born in Singapore to legally married parents who are both Singapore citizens (or either one is a Singapore citizen) at the time of child's birth, is automatically a Singapore Citizen.

A visitor who intends to give birth in Singapore must apply for permission through a local sponsor. You may refer to ICA website for more information.
Your child can follow your race, your spouse's race or an acceptable mixed race if you and your spouse are of different races. A child who is a Singapore citizen is also eligible to register a double-barrelled race comprising both parents’ races.

You will need to obtain a travel document for your child from the respective Embassy or High Commission within 42 days of your child's birth. Details of the regularisation of the immigration status of a foreign child born in Singapore can be found in the advisory note that is issued together with the digital birth certificate.
You may re-download the advisory note at ICA e-Service within 90 days from the date of birth registration.
