- For search request on Committee of Persons and/or Estate under the Mental Disorders and Treatment Act prior to 1 Mar 2010, the Office of the Public Guardian would not have the updated information for the case. You may wish to file a request to inspect files at the Supreme Court.
What if the person searched does not have a registered LPA or Deputyship?
The search result will indicate that there is no trace of (i) an LPA or (ii) a Court Order.What happens if I do not provide the relevant supporting documents for the search request or CTC application?
Your request/ application may be rejected and payment will not be refunded. Please ensure that all supporting documents are uploaded when submitting your request/ application.When can I view the result of the search request?
Search results will be available for viewing and downloading within 30 days from the day the request is approved. Do note that the PDF from the search request is not password protected.
Where can I check for the reference number of my Search or CTC request in order to make payment?
Login to OPGO via Singpass, click ‘Search Request’ and look under Past Search Requests. For CTC applications, click ‘CTC Application’ and look under Past CTC Applications.
How long must I wait to get the results of my Search Request or CTC Application?
We will process your request / application within approximately 3 working days when the complete submission (including payment and necessary supporting documents) is received.What if I misplaced my LPA? Do I need to pay for a Search Request or CTC Application?
With OPGO, all the electronic registered LPAs are maintained in the system. As a Donor or Donee of the LPA, you may retrieve the Donor’s electronic registered LPA from your OPGO Overview page.
For Donors Login via Singpass and click your ‘LPA Ref. No.’
For Donees Login via Singpass and click ‘View LPA’
You may print it to keep a physical copy for your personal record.
However, if you wish to use it for official purposes, please use the ‘send’ function on OPGO to share your electronic registered LPA, as it is the most updated version.
As the Donor or Donee, there is no need to make a Search Request. If you need a Certified True Copy of your registered LPA, you may apply for a CTC.
