The Certificate in Peer Support is an intensive 10-week course which requires significant commitment. Potential applicants must be able to commit to the training and practicum during this period. Potential applicants who are currently employed should make work arrangements to ensure that they can attend and complete the course. Upon enrolment, no withdrawals will be allowed, with the exception of valid medical reasons.

Employers who are keen to offer work trial for peer support specialists can apply for the Apprenticeship scheme through AMKFSC Community Services.

The Apprenticeship Scheme is a partnership with [Workforce Singapore (WSG)] and administered by [AMKFSC Community Services].
Under this scheme, person with mental health conditions who are trained in Peer Support can get a work trial for up to 9 months. Employers can also assess the job fit of the Peer Support Specialist through the work trial.

The consultancy supports organisations in the review of their existing structures and processes to integrate peer support roles and a recovery culture within the organisation. Each organisation will work with the consultants for 3 to 6 months, followed by a minimum of 3 review sessions over the course of a year.
