My child is asked to participate in the centre’s optional enrichment programmes. Is the centre allowed to conduct such lessons with an additional charge?
Centres may conduct optional programmes between the hours of 4pm and 6pm on weekdays. For children who are not attending these programmes, centres will need to provide the usual core programmes and routine care for them. As these programmes incur additional charges, centres should assess the suitability and benefits of such programmes before implementing them. Parents have a choice to decide on their children’s participation.
