If one of your child's parents is a Singapore citizen, a Singapore citizenship application can be made online via ICA e-Service by the Singapore citizen parent using his/her Singpass account. In order to submit the application, the child is required to already hold a foreign birth certificate issued by the authority in his/her country of birth. You are encouraged to submit the application before your child turns one-year-old to facilitate the processing of your child's application.

You are eligible to apply for Singapore citizenship if you are a PR and an Aged Parent of a Singapore citizen. For more information, you may refer to the Becoming a Singapore Citizen page on the ICA website.

If you have changed jobs during the Singapore citizenship application process, please upload your updated employment letter and latest payslips under the 'Upload Additional Document' tab by logging in to MyICA using your Singpass.

You may log into ICA e-Service with your Singpass to apply for Singapore citizenship after completing full-time NS with both the Certificate of Service and Service Transcript.

Your child may apply Singapore Citizenship without the need to be a Permanent Resident.

If you see a 'Pending' status on your MyICA landing page upon Singpass log in, please click on the Citizenship e-Services dashboard to see if there are any instructions or updates. Your application is under consideration if the application status is reflected as 'Pending'.

Your child may apply Singapore citizenship and Permanent Resident (PR) concurrently under your/your spouse sponsorship and we will process them accordingly. One facility will not affect the other. However, each facility will be processed according to the prevailing guidelines.

The 'Number of staff under supervision' refers to the staff that is under your supervision. You may indicate an estimated number if you do not have the information.

You may refer to the Singapore Citizenship Roadmap at ICA website for more information on what is required at each stage of the citizenship application. All notification letters will be available online for online citizenship applications. You can log in to MyICA with the main applicant's/sponsor's Singpass, scroll down to 'Applications' and click 'Enquire/View Status' to retrieve updates on your application.

After the satisfactory completion of the Singapore citizenship Journey, you will receive an email notification from ICA informing on the updated status of your application.

After which, you may download the outcome letter via MyICA using Singpass. With the letter, you may proceed with the renunciation of foreign citizenship and complete the registration.

Once you reach payment page, you will not be able to make any changes to your application. If there is incorrect information, please do not proceed with payment.

The application will be removed from MyCart after the payment deadline lapse in seven days' time. Thereafter, you can re-initiate a new citizenship application for submission and provide the correct information accordingly.

You may apply for a Singapore Passport once you have registered as a Singapore citizen. A notification card and email (for online applications with valid email address provided) will be sent with more details on your passport collection (e.g. how to make an eAppointment, documents to bring).
