Can I purchase my own device for my child to use in school?
The school is using the Apple iPad (A16) for teaching and learning. If you would like to use
your own device rather than purchased through the school’s bulk tender, please ensure the device is
an Apple iPad which meets the following requirements:
a. it should be an iOS device
b. device should not be older than 4 years from manufacturing date;
c. battery should hold charge for at least 4 hours;
d. comparable form factor to school-prescribed PLD (e.g. touchscreen, physical keyboard, Apple Pencil);
e. comparable features to school-prescribed PLD (e.g. inking);
f. comparable performance to school-prescribed PLD
i. Model: iPad 10 or higher
ii. Processor: A14 or better
iii. Capacity: 64GB or higher
iv. OS version: iPadOS 26
v. Screen Size: 10.0 inch or higher (diagonal)
vi. Resolution: 1366 x 768 or higher resolution
vii. Wi-Fi function should work and support at least IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac standard that uses 5GHz band.
g. device should not be installed with additional Operating Systems, antivirus software, Device Management and Parental Control tools other than the MOE DMA.
