What if the PLD iPad is misplaced, stolen, or lost?
Please report to the Form teacher and the ICT Manager. School DMA administrator to remote lock the device. Student to ensure he has searched at all possible location in school.
Parent/Student to make a police report within 48 hours of discovery of loss iPad and give school a copy of the police report.
Student may loan out a device from school and return on a daily basis.
If the lost device is covered under the circumstances listed in the device’s insurance coverage, parents should contact and inform the device contractor via their helpdesk or service centre or insurer. They will need to furnish the contractor with the police report for insurance claim. (Applicable only if the device is still under insurance coverage period). Parent to email Insurer and cc pdlpapple@asiapac.com.sg to provide police report and proof of purchase for insurance claim (which was emailed to the student iCON on the day he received the PLD)
The contractor’s helpdesk/service centre/insurer will advise parents on the insurance claim procedure.
Contractor to send the new replacement device to school and school to pass to student if device is covered under insurance. Parents can opt for doorstep delivery but with delivery charges.
If the lost device is not covered under circumstances listed in device’s insurance coverage, Parent can seek school's assistance to purchase replacement device.
Students are to inform their school-based service desk whenever there is a replacement/change of device.
