Opportunities for job rotation are available for all officers to gain exposure to the wide spectrum of aviation-related work. Scholars may be deployed to different divisions at various stages of their careers, depending on their career aspirations and organisational needs. There will also be opportunities for external secondment, such as to the Ministry of Transport or the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).

You will need to serve a bond with CAAS upon completion of your university education.

The bond period for an overseas scholarship is 5 or 6 years depending on the country of study and 4 years for a local scholarship.

There is no quota for the award of scholarships and the selection of scholars is based on merit and calibre.

Undergraduates in their 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of study, on track to graduate with at least a good Honours [Second Class (Upper Division) Honours or equivalent] may submit their application for the Mid-term scholarship.

Applications will open in mid-December and close 2 weeks after the release of 'A' level results. You may apply with your 'A' Level prelim examination results, or with your current undergraduate results.

Only Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents will be considered. Permanent Residents will be required to take up a citizenship upon offer of the CAAS scholarship.

The CAAS Undergraduate Scholarship is mainly tenable for undergraduate studies. Scholars who would like to pursue their Master's degree would typically have to complete both their undergraduate studies as well as Masters within 4-6 years, depending on the country of study. Any request to pursue a Masters immediately after undergraduate studies will be subject to the organisation's approval. As a high performance organisation, CAAS also provides opportunities for in-service graduate officers to pursue postgraduate studies later in their careers.

Our scholars are able to indicate their preferred course of study at the university of their choice, including professional degrees in Law and Engineering, except for Medicine and Dentistry. However, do note that scholars who pursue law degrees will not be employed as practising lawyers during their service with CAAS. Upon graduation, scholars will serve their bond with CAAS as a Civil Aviation Officer and embark on a management career with a division of their choice.

CAAS will sponsor your tuition and compulsory fees. Scholars will also receive allowances for costs relating to maintenance, settling in prior to studies and internship. The allowance rates are typically pegged to PSC scholarship rates for the various countries/universities of study.

The scholarship is only open to Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents who are willing to take up Singapore Citizenship.

Applicants will undergo a rigorous selection process, including a battery of tests and selection interviews.
