What is Art Therapy?

Updated by SGH-AHPEDIA

Art therapy is an evidence-based mental health service that uses visual art media to help patients process difficult emotions and psychological struggles, enhancing their well-being. It is a non-intimidating psychotherapeutic approach, one which also allows non-verbal communication through creative expression. Sessions are facilitated by art therapists with a minimum Master’s qualification in Art Therapy.
