Does ScamShield block outgoing calls when I'm overseas?

Updated by SCAMSHIELD

ScamShield does not block outgoing calls; it only blocks incoming calls from numbers identified as scams.

If you are having problems making outgoing calls when overseas, it is most likely a restriction set by your mobile service provider (telco), not by the ScamShield app. Many telcos have default international calling restrictions to prevent unexpected charges, especially when roaming.

To resolve this, you'll need to contact your telco directly to:

  • Enable international calling on your plan

  • Remove any international call restrictions

  • Confirm your roaming settings allow outgoing calls

ScamShield's call blocking feature only works on incoming calls and specifically targets scam numbers. It doesn't interfere with your ability to make outgoing calls to any destination.

However, please note that some ScamShield features may not work as expected when using foreign networks or roaming.
