Who do I contact if my number was wrongly blocked by ScamShield?

Please note that the ScamShield app only blocks phone numbers that have been marked as scam in the ScamShield database. These numbers are marked by the authorities based on reports from the community about suspicious or scam-related activity.

If you suspect that your number may be blocked by the ScamShield app, please first use the Check for Scams feature to check if the phone number is marked as scam in the ScamShield database.

  • A phone number is only blocked if the check outcome appears red with the message "Beware, this looks like a scam."

  • Only phone numbers from government and healthcare institutions that have been whitelisted will be marked as "Safe".

  • If you get an outcome saying “Be careful, we're not sure about this one”, the number has not been marked as "Scam" or blocked.

If you believe your phone number has been wrongly marked as scam, please reach out to the ScamShield Helpline at 1799 to request an unblock.

Hope this helps!
