What happens if an individual or organisation that meets the definition of MRS does not register by 31 March 2027?
A person or organisation must not conduct a Muslim religious school unless it is registered with MUIS. Failure to do so would constitute an offence and the offender shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.
