As an employer, how can I check my employee's Shared Parental Leave (SPL) entitlement and submit a claim?
Checking your employee's Sharing Arrangement (SA):
You can verify your employee's SPL Sharing Arrangement (SA) on the Government-Paid Leave (GPL) Portal after your employee has successfully registered the birth of their child or from the Formal Intent to Adopt (FIA) date.
Note that employees can change their SA freely within the first 4 weeks of the birth or FIA date without requiring employer agreement. You may wish to check the SA only after this 4-week period to ensure you have the most up-to-date allocation. If your employee makes changes after 4 weeks, verify the updated SA on the GPL Portal after your employee has submitted it on LifeSG.
Submitting a claim:
Once your employee has taken their SPL, you can submit a reimbursement claim through the GPL Portal. The process is the same as for other Government-Paid Leave schemes.
