How do I submit a Shared Parental Leave (SPL) Sharing Arrangement (SA)?

After your child's date of birth or Formal Intent to Adopt (FIA) date, submit your SPL sharing details either during the Birth Registration process or via the Manage SPL Sharing Arrangement service on LifeSG.

By default, each parent will be allocated half of the total SPL entitlement in LifeSG.

Changing your sharing arrangement

If you wish to change your sharing arrangement, the documentation required depends on when the change is made:

  • Within 4 weeks of the birth or FIA date: No employer agreement documentation is required.

  • After 4 weeks of the birth or FIA date: A written agreement from your employer must be submitted.
