I am not entitled to the Government-Paid Parental Leave schemes as I worked with my employer for less than 3 months when my child was born. Can I appeal for the entitlement?

Updated by MSF

The government may reimburse employers who voluntarily grant Government-Paid Maternity Leave (GPML), Government-Paid Paternity Leave (GPPL), Shared Parental Leave (SPL), or Adoption Leave for Mothers (AL) to employees, even if the employee does not meet the 3-month continuous employment criterion. The employee must still meet all other eligibility criteria for the leave, such as having a child who is a Singapore citizen. Please refer to the information pages of the respective schemes for the eligibility criteria.
