With a new licensing regime under the SRHA, does MSF anticipate a drop in the number of operators that will remain in the sector, as well as prospective operators?

Updated by MSF

We do not expect a drop in operators as the majority of the regulatory requirements under the SRHA build upon existing service models and legislation that SRHs already comply with today. In developing the Act, we have also considered best practices and approaches adopted by other agencies.

To support SRHs in the transition to the licensing regime under the SRHA, MSF and NCSS will provide operators with a Transition Support Package, which provides funding to invest in training and capability building of staff, as well as the defrayment of associated costs such as the installation of CCTVs.
