In the case of professional qualifications, they must also be acceptable for registration by the relevant professional bodies in Singapore. Is there a list of approved universities and bodies for people applying for jobs with MOF?
Currently MOF does not maintain a list of universities and bodies that are deemed to be recognised from the Ministry's point of view. For degree programmes offered by foreign universities, the general guideline for appointment into Civil Service is that as long as the degrees are accredited by the respective home governments, they are acceptable for employment.
Overseas diplomas and other local diplomas should be of similar standard and rigour as the diplomas from local polytechnics. Once foreign diploma qualifications are determined to be acceptable for diploma jobs in the Civil Service, they would be acceptable qualifications for various jobs which require polytechnic diploma as the entry qualifications.
In the case of a professional qualification, it must also be acceptable for registration by relevant professional bodies in Singapore.I still have a year to go before I graduate, so is it possible for me to apply for a job with your organization now?
