For PSLE written exams, should my child use 0.5 mm black or blue ink pens only?
Pupils are recommended to use a 0.5mm tip ballpoint pen for their PSLE written exams. Pupils have to write their answers clearly in black (recommended) or dark blue ballpoint pen and draw diagrams with a sharp 2B pencil. When will parents receive the secondary school compilation booklet which contains the eligibility criteria for all Secondary schools?
The hard-copy booklet will be given to all P6 pupils, right after their PSLE written examination in October.

What are the documents to submit for DSA?
Primary school information, such as academic results, CCA and VIA involvement, School-based achievements will be shared with the secondary schools. Testimonials are not required. If the child has other achievements beyond school, you can submit the scanned copies using the “Others” option field.

Based on the achievement levels, is 65 the new passing mark?
PSLE is a school placement examination, which allows students to customise their secondary education by taking subjects at different levels according to their aptitude and strengths. Hence, there is no passing mark for PSLE.

If my child did not study Higher Chinese, can he/she applies for SAP school?
Yes, however the child will be required to study HCL in the SAP school. During the S1 Posting Exercise, the SAP school will decide whether the child is able to cope and he/she is a good fit for the school, with regards to the adaption to HCL curriculum and the school’s culture.
