It is stated that the deceased needed to be domiciled in Singapore at the time of death in order to use the Probate eService. What is the meaning of "domicile"?

Domicile is a legal concept and generally refers to the place that the person treats as their permanent home, or lives in and has a substantial connection with. There are different types of domiciles, including domicile of origin, and domicile of choice.

If you are uncertain of what the Deceased’s domicile might have been, you may wish to consult a lawyer for independent legal advice.
