Why is the Singapore Boys' Home/Singapore Girls' Home designated as a place of safety for my child, when it is also a Juvenile Rehabilitation Centre (JRC) for youth offenders?
Youth Homes, namely the Singapore Boys' Home and Singapore Girls' Home, are also places of safety under the Children and Young Persons Act. Not all youths admitted to these homes have committed an offence. Some are admitted under a Family Guidance Order or Care and Protection Order.
