What is reformative training?

Updated by SGCOURTS

Young offenders above 16 years old but under 21 years old may be sentenced to reformative training. It requires the offender to be detained in a structured environment, and the offender will be required to attend programmes or counselling to deal with his offending behaviour.

The Court can impose a minimum detention period for 6 or 12 months depending on the offender and the facts of the case.
