Traders who are registered or licensed by SFA to import food for commercial sale in Singapore must comply with the prevailing import requirements.  Please refer to our FAQ ‘How do I import food for commercial sale’ on the main steps for importing food for sale'.

The import requirements serve to ensure food safety and protect consumers in Singapore. Food or food products classified as ‘Eggs & Egg Products’ such as shell eggs, salted eggs, liquid eggs, and omelettes must meet the import requirements imposed on this category of food or food products.

You must comply with these requirements before you apply for an import permit to bring Eggs & Egg Products into Singapore.

Non-compliance can result in penalties under the prevailing food safety laws and regulations.

Traders must comply with the following import requirements for eggs and eggs products:

  • Step 1: Import only from approved sources

  • Step 2: Obtained the required health certificates from your supplier

  • Step 3: Ensure food labels are accurate and complete

Please refer to How do I comply with the import requirements for Eggs & Eggs Products for the details.
