What are the imports requirements and legislations?

Businesses or Traders will need to apply for the relevant licences or register with SFA to import food into Singapore for sale, in order to ensure food safety and protect consumers in Singapore. Regardless of the nature and mode of your business, you must have a licence/registration to import food for commercial sale in Singapore. You are deemed to be importing food for commercial sale even if you are receiving and selling food and/or food samples by parcel posts.
