If I miss the rescheduled examination, will I receive an "Absent" grade for the subject? Can I apply for special consideration?
It is compulsory for all candidates to sit for every paper of each examination subject they have registered for, including any rescheduled examination due to haze. Should you be absent from one or more papers of a subject, an 'Absent' grade will be awarded for that subject.
You can apply for special consideration if you have valid reasons (e.g. medical reasons, bereavement, physical injuries) for being unable to sit for the rescheduled examination paper.
For special consideration to be applicable, candidates must have completed at least 50% of the component weightage of the affected GCE-Level subject.
Supporting documents must be provided for the special consideration application. Please refer to this page for examples of information that needs to be provided in your application.
