What should I do if I am unable to sit or encounter adverse circumstances during my GCE-Level examination?
If you sat for your national examination under adverse circumstances or miss your national examination paper(s) with valid reasons (including, medical leave or compassionate reasons), you can apply for special consideration (SC) provided you have:
* Completed at least 50% of the component weightage for the affected subject for GCE-Level examination subjects; and
* Have the relevant information and supporting documents to support your application
Please refer to the following on how to submit your SC application.
School candidates
Please approach your school teacher immediately to apply for SC through your school, including examination papers conducted outside your school (e.g. at centralised examination centres), such as foreign language subject papers.
Private candidates
If you are a private individual who registered for your examination(s) via SEAB’s Candidates Portal, you may apply for SC through the portal. You may login to Candidates Portal using your Singpass or the username and password used when you registered for your national examinations. Please refer to this guide for the steps to complete your SC application.
If you registered for your examination(s) through a private centre, please approach your centre coordinators for assistance.
Late submissions or applications with incomplete information or supporting documents will not be processed.
