Based Approach to Fire Safety Design
Who is responsible to engage the Qualified Person (QP), Fire Safety Engineer (FSE), Peer Reviewer, and/or Registered Inspector (RI) for the building fire safety design/approval process?
At which stage does the FSE, Peer Reviewer and the RI come into the picture for plan submission?
Between the prescriptive and the performance-based approach to Fire Safety design, how would people know which to choose?
Can a building fire safety design be entirely base on performance-based requirements?
How will I know if a building has some performance-based design elements to its Fire Safety Design?
Is the performance-based approach for Fire Safety design less stringent as compared to the prescriptive approach?
