How will I know if a building has some performance-based design elements to its Fire Safety Design?
Performance-Based (PB) buildings can be currently identified via SCDF website https://www.scdf.gov.sg/docs/default-source/fire-safety-docs/preformance-based-approach-to-fsd/list-of-performance-based-projects.pdf
or via their plans that can be retrieved from the building owner/management or SCDF.
The building’s main fire alarm panel or zone chart is also affixed with a label, “This building has performance-based fire safety design” for quick identification on site.
This information is sourced from SCDF.
