The ScamShield app cannot block calls on applications such as WhatsApp due to privacy limitations because of encryption.

• If you received a scam call on WhatsApp or Telegram, we encourage you to report such scam calls anyway so that the phone numbers can be reviewed by authorities and blocked from calling users on a cellular level.

• The rest of the community can also be alerted on this potential scam when they check for scams using the ScamShield app.

• If you do not want to receive calls from callers who are not in your contacts, do also check the privacy settings on your application to ensure unknown callers are blocked.
