You'll be considered a next-of-kin who's allowed to download the digital death certificate if your relationship to the person who has died is listed here:

  • Parent

  • Spouse

  • Child or step-child

  • Sibling

  • Step or half-sibling

  • Grandparent

  • Grandchild

  • Uncle

  • Aunt

  • Niece or nephew

You'll be asked to declare your relationship when you make a request to download the digital death certificate.
