Is it true that it is not necessary for me to do Wasiat since my estate will be distributed using Faraid?

While it's true that without an Islamic Will (Wasiat), your intestate assets will be distributed based on Faraid laws, having a will offers several advantages. These include the appointment of executor(s), provision for beneficiaries not covered by Faraid, and prevention of potential conflicts among heirs.

Additionally, having a Wasiat facilitates a quicker and less costly administration of the deceased's estate compared to not having one. The process typically involves obtaining a Letter of Administration, which can take up to 6 months and incur various administrative costs before estate distribution can occur.
