Can Government-Paid Leave (GPL) be paid directly to the employee if the employer is not granting the entitlement?

Updated by MSF

GPL cannot be paid directly to the employee. Employers are legally obligated to grant GPL to employees who meet the eligibility criteria, and leave arrangements should be mutually agreed upon between both parties.

If an employer refuses to grant GPL to an eligible employee, the employee may approach the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) for assistance.
