What are the service standards for processing Government-Paid Leave Scheme (GPLS) claims?
Processing times vary depending on the type of claim submitted.
10 working days from the date of submission in the GPL Portal, for all standard claims not listed below.
14 weeks from the date of receipt of the application and all relevant documents, for the following:
Adoption Leave for Mothers
Government-Paid Paternity Leave and Shared Parental Leave (for adoptive fathers)
Claims for stillbirths
Government-Paid Maternity Benefit, Government-Paid Adoption Benefit, and Government-Paid Paternity Benefit
All appeals
All claims that require verification of documents
Additional notes
"Working days" refer to Mondays to Fridays, excluding public holidays.
Incomplete submissions or inaccurate information may result in processing delays.
Standard claims ("all other claims") that require further information from the applicant will be processed within 14 weeks from the date of receipt of all required information.
Claims pending the employer's CPF contribution will take approximately 2 months longer to process.
