Are volunteers regulated under the SRHA? Why or why not?

All volunteers will be monitored when in contact with residents in the SRHs. To avoid curtailing the spirit of volunteerism, they are not regulated under the SRHA.

Nonetheless, any person who commits an egregious offence in the SRH may be liable to penalties under other Acts, such as the Penal Code.
