What services will the new Assistive Technology (AT) centres offer?

Updated by MSF

The AT centres will:

  • Provide PwDs with AT assessments to help them identify suitable AT devices that could aid them in their independent living; and

  • Train PwDs and caregivers on the use of AT

The new AT centres will focus on serving persons with physical disabilities as a start, as persons with physical disabilities account for the largest proportion of clients seeking AT assessments (about 80% of ATF applications in 2023 were from persons with physical disabilities).

Other disability types can continue to approach existing touchpoints for AT assessments.
