Why is the Government introducing Assistive Technology (AT) centres and how are they different from Tech Able at the Enabling Village?

AT is a critical enabler of PwDs’ independent living. To encourage greater adoption of AT for person who require it, the new AT centres will aim to increase the accessibility and quality of AT assessments for PwDs.


The new Assessment centres will be additional touchpoints allowing PwDs to undergo assessment for straightforward AT needs, while Tech Able will continue to play a central role in supporting PwDs for specialised AT needs.
