I adopted the child overseas. Can the child reside in Singapore with me?

Enquiries on Foreign Child Adoption

Updated by MSF

If you have adopted and legalised the adoption of your child overseas, please check with the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) if they recognise the foreign adoption and are able to issue an immigration facility for the child.

You may contact ICA through their feedback form on their website or call them at 6391 6100.

[This only applies to non-Indian and non-PRC children. Refer to “Adoption of children from India” and “Adoption of children from the People’s Republic of China (PRC)” for the adoption of children from the respective countries.]
