CDA Closure
Your child's Child Development Account (CDA) will be closed on 31 Dec of the year they turn 12 years old.

CDA Fund Transfer Process

  1. Transfer to PSEA
In Jan, unused funds in the CDA will be automatically transferred to your child’s Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA) under the Ministry of Education (MOE), up to the PSEA cap applicable to your child.

  2. Excess CDA Balance (ECB)
For funds above the PSEA cap (i.e. the ECB), MSF will send a letter to the CDA trustee with instructions on the transfer process.

  3. Opening of PSEA
In Feb, MOE will send a letter to the parents/guardians to confirm the opening of the PSEA, amount transferred from CDA, and remaining cap eligible for Government co-matching, if any.
