What is the deadline for me to top up the Child Development Account (CDA) in order to receive Government co-matching contributions?

If you have not reached the CDA co-matching cap, you can continue to deposit savings into your child’s Child Development Account (CDA) until 15 Dec of the year your child turns 12 to receive the Government’s co-matching contributions in your child’s CDA. For deposits made from 16 to 31 Dec, the co-matching contribution will be deposited into your child’s Post Secondary Education Account (PSEA). Funds in the CDA will then be automatically transferred to your child’s PSEA under the Ministry of Education, up to the PSEA cap applicable to your child.

If you have not reached the co-matching cap by the time the CDA closes, you can continue saving and receiving the Government co-matching amount in their PSEA before they turn 18.
