When is the submission deadline for Government-Paid Leave (GPL) claims?

The submission deadline for Government-Paid Leave (GPL) claims are:

Government-Paid Childcare Leave (GPLCL) and Extended Childcare Leave (ECL) 


Government-Paid Maternity Leave (GPML)

  • Within 3 months after the last day of your/your employee's maternity leave


Government-Paid Maternity Benefit (GPMB) / Government-Paid Paternity Benefit (GPPB) / Government-Paid Adoption Benefit (GPAB), Shared Parental Leave Benefit (SPB)

  • Within 15 months after your child's date of birth


Government-Paid Paternity Leave (GPPL)

  • Within 3 months after the last day of your/your employee's paternity leave


Shared Parental Leave (SPL)

  • Within 3 months after the last day of your/your employee's shared parental leave


2013 - Shared Parental Leave (2013-SPL)

  • Within 3 months after the last day of your/your employee's 2013 - shared parental leave


Adoption Leave for Mothers (AL)

  • Within 3 months after the last day of your/your employee's adoption leave


If you have missed the submission deadlines, you can submit an online application together with the reasons for your late submission. Late submissions from employers and self-employed person are subject to the approval of MSF. We appreciate your understanding on the longer processing time required.
