Can I receive the Government matching in the Child Development Account (CDA), if the deposit is not made by me?
Anyone can save into a Child Development Account (CDA). All savings* made into the CDA will be eligible to receive Government co-matching, up to the child’s eligible co-matching cap.
However, only the CDA trustee can authorise deductions from the CDA for approved uses for the child or his/her sibling.
The Government co-matching contribution will be deposited into the CDA within 2 weeks (excluding public holidays) after you have saved into the CDA. The CDA trustee can check the amount received by using “Family View service” on Parent Portal Services (‘Family View’ > ‘View Statement and Trustee Information’).
If you are a corporate donor intending to donate into the CDA, please inform MSF first, to ensure compliance with the Child Development Co-Savings Regulations (CDCR) and Approved Person/Institution Terms and Conditions (AP/I T&Cs).
*Except for refunds from Approved Institutions (AI).
