What is a learning report?
A learning report helps the industry by:
- Sharing significant lessons learnt with the industry in a timely manner, without having to wait for conclusion of any criminal proceedings.
- Preventing or minimising the recurrence of workplace incidents.

Publishing a learning report
Under the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, the Commissioner for WSH can publish a learning report on any workplace accident, dangerous occurrence or occupational disease that is the subject of a WSH investigation.
Cannot use learning reports in proceedings
Learning reports are inadmissible in any civil, criminal, arbitral, or disciplinary proceedings before any court, tribunal or body, or any proceedings under the Work Injury Compensation Act.
