What happens to my HDB flat when I am made bankrupt?

Under the Housing and Development Act, as long as one of the owners of the HDB flat is a Singapore Citizen (SC household), the HDB flat will not vest in the trustee in bankruptcy i.e., the HDB flat owner(s) would not be required to realise the HDB flat for the benefit of the creditors.

However, if none of the owner(s) is a Singapore Citizen, the bankrupt's share of the HDB Flat would then vest in the trustee in bankruptcy for the benefit of the creditors.
