Can I discharge or request to change my lawyer after granted aid from the Public Defender's Office?
No. You will need to seek permission from the Chief Public Defender before doing so.
If you opt to discharge your assigned Public Defender on your free will, your case will not be re-assigned to another Public Defender.
In the event of a discharge, you may be required to reimburse the Public Defender's Office for the expenses incurred on your behalf.
