My company is on the DIRECT scheme. My NSman employee is employed by two companies, including mine. When he attended his ORNS activity, my company was not paid the full MUP amount as the Service Pay was paid to my NSman employee. Why did this happen and how can we obtain the full amount of the MUP claim?

[If employer is aware that NSman is employed by more than one company]

If an NSman has more than one source of income with at least one employer with the DIRECT scheme, Service Pay (SP) will be paid to the NSman as the system is unable to cater for full payment to go to the DIRECT employer. The NSman’s employers on the DIRECT scheme will continue to be paid the MUP amount less SP for the ORNS activity. This is a technical issue in the system. In such scenarios, we encourage you to obtain the SP amount directly from your NSman employee.
