My dental injury has been approved as a service injury. Why can't I use my Service Injury Card for the dental treatment?

Updated by MINDEF
Hospitals do not recognise dental treatment as medical treatment, unless it is a dental surgery which the hospital classifies as a day surgery. As such, dental treatment expenses cannot be charged directly to MINDEF through your Service Injury Card.  Payment for the treatment should be made before seeking reimbursement from MINDEF. For the reimbursement, please submit the original medical bill/invoice and a memo from your Specialist to MINDEF/SAF HR Shared Services Centre (HRSSC.  For further assistance, you may contact HRSSC at CompensationMgt@defence.gov.sg.
