I am currently receiving Pilot Allowance and I notice that my pay components of Basic Rank Pay(BRP), MVC and NPC reflected in my payslip do not add up to the Rank Pay.

As Pilot Allowance attracts MVC, pilots will receive a higher MVC than the non-pilots of the same Rank Pay. Hence, pilots' BRP, MVC and NPC do not add up to the Rank Pay. However, only the Rank Pay reflected in the payslip is used to compute serviceman's salary progression regardless of the amount of MVC, which is only used to compute pension payment.
