Updated by MHA Under the Public Order and Safety (Special Powers) Act (POSSPA), the Police may ask civilians, like volunteers from the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and private security officers, to assist in tasks such evacuation or manning cordon(s) away from the incident location.
