Updated by MHA The Public Order and Security (Special Powers) Act (POSSPA) will be applied to serious incidents, which is defined in the Act as the carrying out of:
- A terrorist act;
- An act of serious violence affecting the public; or
- An act causing large scale public disorder.
POSSPA will not be invoked for peaceful public order situations where there is no threat to lives and public safety. Contact us
