The reasons for the choice of iPads as PLD include the superior touch interfaces offered by iPads, which greatly enhance the learning experience compared to the limitations of Chromebooks.
With iPads, students will have access to a more engaging and dynamic learning environment. The iPad's touch interface is not only responsive to finger gestures but also supports the use of a stylus, such as the highly responsive Apple Pencil. This combination opens up new possibilities for students, allowing them to explore more flexible and varied learning experiences.
Moreover, iPads have proven to be durable devices, capable of withstanding the demands of everyday student use. Additionally, their Operating System remains robust and continually evolves to stay relevant over time. This ensures that students will have access to the latest educational tools and resources, keeping pace with the ever-changing technological landscape.
By transitioning to iPads, we aim to provide our students with an enriched learning experience that harnesses the full potential of touch interfaces, stylus input, and a reliable and adaptive operating system.
For PLD bought through our school, it will be covered with 3 years warranty. Please view the details at our PLD information kit.
The school will conduct a procurement exercise in the first Semester for new students in all levels from Sec 1-4. Students who miss this exercise can write to the HOD EdTech if they wish to procure an iPad through the school.
